About the Regional Workforce

Intelligence Network

The Regional Workforce Intelligence Network (RWIN) engages economic development organizations, regional chambers of commerce, workforce investment boards, a selection of educational institutions or departments that are focused on increasing talent to attract and retain business.

RWIN provides coordination around comprehensive workforce challenges with particular emphasis on non-traditional talent, and provides its stakeholders with data for decision-making through a monthly newsletter, presentations and reports at KCWorkforce.org.

Mission Statement

The Regional Workforce Intelligence Network (RWIN)’s mission is to support regional collaboration among public economic and workforce agencies to gain a shared understanding of the region’s economy and labor market, best practices within and outside the region, and identify actions to strengthen regional prosperity.

Vision

A Kansas City region where every employer has access to talent and every individual has access to quality employment leading to regional economic prosperity.

Values

  • Increase and strengthen regional collaboration and alignment of initiatives focused on preparing, training and supporting the workforce.
  • Use labor-market and economic data for decision-making.
